Jean – Marie Nianga, President of FSCD, Professor and PhD Supervisor at the University of Lille, France, main research areas include Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, with a particular focus on the application of medical materials. Prof. Jean – Marie Nianga is a Professor and PhD supervisor at the University of Lille, France, and Vice President of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics of the FSCD. His main research areas include mechanical engineering and materials science, with a particular focus on the application of medical materials.

Research Areas:

Prof. Nianga’s research focuses on the mechanical behavior of structures and materials, in particular the fractal analysis of stresses, thermodynamics and surface roughness. His research also deals with the fracture mechanics of piezoelectric materials, which are widely used in medical devices due to their ability to generate electrical charges in response to mechanical stress. In the field of biomedical materials, Prof. Niyonga’s research contributes to the improvement of the properties of materials used in prosthetics and medical implants, in particular durability, mechanical properties, and the interaction of synthetic materials with biological tissues. His research on surface roughness and contact surfaces has played a key role in improving the biocompatibility and wear resistance of medical implants, ensuring that devices such as prosthetics remain efficient over time.
